About Canada Cordage Inc.
Canada
Cordage has manufactured Rope and Cordage in Canada since 1856
and with our recent acquisition of the Orion Ropeworks
manufacturing plant in the US, we are one of the largest
manufacturers of 3strand synthetic rope in North America. Most
of our manufacturing is now consolidated at our modern facility
at Orion Ropeworks in Winslow, Maine, while our Kitchener
facility is used for Distribution, Customer Service and
Administration.
Canada
Cordage and Orion Ropeworks are privately, majority owned by two
former long term Newell Rubbermaid division presidents: Paul
Leaver with a background in Finance, Sales and Marketing and
Robert F. Lucey with a background in Manufacturing operations
and Logistics.
A large
portion of our business is Industrial/Commercial, supplying
customers such as the Canadian & US Departments of Defence &
the Mining & Fishing industry plus many Hydro/Utility companies
in both Canada and the US.

have a fully equipped resin, fiber and rope testing laboratory.
